Butterfly had her moment of awakening in 1999 after moving to Minneapolis and finding a lovely community of artists friends and family. Here she was soon introduced to the art and beauty of fire. She instantly felt a powerful connection to the fire and began learning to play and co-create with this beautiful element infusing free form dance and ritual.

Butterfly loves to travel to exotic places and often creates shows inspired by her travels using costumes, music, choreography, storytelling, and dance to present the essence of these magical places. She has had the blessing to perform in far off places like Nepal, India, Lao, Thailand and Costa Rica. From tiny little villages in the Himmalyas to a sold out Wookie show the opportunity to connect and share the magic of fire is always a gift.
